Like many of these games, such Divinity: Original Sin 2, which deservedly sits in our list of 30 best PC games, the learning curve is steep and battles are difficult and can be determined by sheer luck. Turn-based classic RPGs have had a good year, and if you’ve always wanted to get into Gloomhaven but were turned off by the price (and size!) of the board game, this is actually the next best thing.
